Ellefield left for Italy. 27th May 2009
Ellefield left for Italy today, to Select Breeders Services Italia SBS This clinic is specialized in oocytes collection (OPU). The oocytes will be fertilized with Diamant de Semilly and if successful, the embryo will be transferred to a recipient mare. With the help of Dr Dominique Burger from our National Stud in Avenches, who help me to arrange this, and in the very near future Dr Burger will also do this procedure in Avenches. Not being able to get Ellefield in foal for the last 2 season, I decided to try this new procedure and hope to continue my breeding line from her. She has 2 foals until now but both are geldings and I hope that we could have a filly for future breeding. Ellefield has excellent results in show jumping at International level with Niall.
